Washer and Dryer

Yesterday we picked up a brand new washer and dryer. The supersized Maytag Epic 9600 frontloading washer and frontloading dryer. You might be thinking that the Maytag brand isn't very good, and you'd be right. It wasn't very good in the past because of poor corporate decisions that sent it's products down the drain. But then Whirpool came along and bought up Maytag in a $2.7 billion dollar deal. And to try and boost the Maytag street cred they are releasing Whirlpool made items under the Maytag name. Sweet deal for us. The Manitoba Hydro credit doesn't hurt too bad either.

I never thought the maytag brand was bad...
...who thought that anyway, I have always heard good things about maytag and whirlpool... I mean what was the point of all those maytag repair man commercials where he has nothing to do. Am I alone in this?
Also I love that manitoba hydro credit too, I switched all my lightbulbs to CFL's with a 1.50 per bulb coming back to me as a credit.

You're right. Maytag was always a good name. Apparently in the last few years they release some real bad lemon machines. Not just a single model, but apparently quite a few. Their name was being ground down until Whirlpool bought them now.

...I hadn't heard that, in other washing machine news Laura and I picked up a washer/dryer set for $50 each in good working condition, in fact they are still being used till we pick them up on sunday.
